Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Collins (born in Mexico) is the Mexican American sportscaster. She hosts SportsNation and is an anchor for SportsCenter anchor. She joined ESPN as a news anchor in the year 2016. Her mother is television journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins has been bilingual since the age of nine years old, a valuable ability that allowed her to secure her first position working as an assistant to the producer at Univision in Miami that gave her the chance to work with the producers of national shows like Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. It was the CBS station of St. Petersburg hired her following this to become a sports reporter. In 2009, she relocated to Rio Grande Valley to work as a journalist at KNVO TV 48 Univision & Fox2 News. In 2009 she made the move into Rio Grande Valley, Texas in which she was a journalist for KNVO 48 Univision and Fox2 News. In addition, she was used on occasion as a weather and sports anchor. She then anchored and reported on Univision's Dallas affiliate Deportes 23 where she was assigned more responsibility. She also wrote articles to The NBA, Dallas Cowboys' postseason, NBA ALDS ALCS World Series or Finals FC Dallas. The Univision 23 channel also produced her local sports program Accion Deportiva Extra, on where she was anchor. She also served as the sports anchor of Despierta America Deportes morning show. The anchor also worked in the same job for Primer Impacto on UniMas Network as well as Contacto Deportivo for its magazine show. Antonietta Collin's parents were originally from Veracruz Mexico. At some point they relocated from Veracruz Mexico to Mexico City where she was born on November 22 1985. There is an older sister. In 1992, the family moved to Miami following the move to Mexico in the US. They divorced shortly thereafter in 1995. Her mother was remarried to an architect from the naval profession named Fabio Fajardo who died of kidney cancer in 2006. She stayed with her family in Canton Ohio with her older sister in the summertime and was given the opportunity of a job. At the time of her senior year in high school but having a clear vision of what she wanted to do in her future, Antonietta was able to visit the University of Mount Union to assess if it suited her requirements. The campus was beautiful and provided the education she sought. She finished school and enrolled at the University as an undergraduate major in media studies. Her relationship lasted for a while with her instructor Mark Bergmann who was the supervisor at WRMU 91.1 FM, a station of which she was an affiliate. Mark Bergmann was the person who instilled her confidence, and his passion for Journalism deeply touched her. As a result, she strived to fulfill his expectations, never letting him down.
